This week’s new initial coin offerings (ICOs)

• Smart Media Token (SMT) is a new token creation protocol created by Steem. The blockchain network focused on social media usage.
• SMTs will run on the Steem blockchain, anyone can create a new SMT, similar to ERC20 tokens on Ethereum.
• SMTs can be used to reward content creators and curators.
• You can even raise capital via an ICO with SMTs.
• A graphical interface will help users create new SMTs without knowledge of code.
• There won’t be an ICO for the SMT protocol, but you can invest in Steem to capitalize on the SMT development.

• LAToken is an asset token trading platform where real world assets such as Apple, Amazon stocks, oil, gold, silver commodities and real estate ETF tokens are tradeable.
• Tokens of exchange traded assets are sold as forward contracts on the LAT platform.
• LAT will buy back asset tokens from holders at market price of the underlying asset on a predetermined settlement day.
• LAT platform will also support listing of illiquid assets such as art and real estate.
• The LAT platform is already operational.
• LAT is the main liquidity currency on this platform.
• LAToken is raising a maximum $40 Million USD through an ICO by selling LATs.
• The ICO ends on October 10, 2017.
