I have been a shift manager at McDonald’s for three years now. I am now a mother of two, and I really want to switch my career, so I decided to learn to code.
I don’t have any prior experiences in programming before, so it’s quite difficult for me. Every time I finish something, I’m like “Cool I did it!”.
Q: How have your experiences in learning online so far?
I did research on online bootcamps vs in-person bootcamps. In-person bootcamps in London are too expensive. Altcademy is a lot more affordable as compared to others. So I picked to do an online bootcamp and chose Altcademy. I don’t think there’s much of a difference between online and in-person bootcamps. You will likely receive a similar curriculum structure, assignments, and lessons. The funny thing is that, with this COVID-19 situation, in-person bootcamps have moved online as well.
Q: What are your future plans?
I live in London, and there are plenty of opportunities here. I just want to get a job in the software industry. The money will come with more experience!
