I have just finished learning JavaScript and I need more practice in order to make more sense of it. I am trying to go through small projects and learning three to four ways to do them.
Q: Is this your first time learning to code?
No, this is not my first time learning to code. I was going to try a coding bootcamp in 2017, but I could not commit to putting in seven hours a day. This is actually the first time that I am seriously pursuing learning to code.
Q: Why did you decide to learn coding?
I decided to learn coding because I was interested in the obvious aspects of it, such as the potential for a career change. Additionally, I have always been drawn towards technology and the ability to create something out of nothing. I was also curious as to how much room there is for creative expression, and I wanted to challenge myself with problem solving in several different ways. I felt pretty comfortable navigating through HTML & CSS, so I wanted to try and get a more comprehensive understanding of coding. Lastly, I wanted to explore the several different ways in which one can approach a problem.
Q: What are your end goals?
My end goal is to become a full-time developer and to get into a company to gain valuable experience. I started my cohort in July and I would like to get it done before 12 months and possibly have some time off next year. I am working at a normal pace, and I am dedicating close to 10 hours per week.
